Description:
Elegant work table of French manufacture dating back to the second half of the 19th century, made of fine mahogany wood. The piece of furniture stands out for its sinuous and refined lines, typical of the Louis Philippe style, with moved and curved legs that give momentum and lightness to the structure.
The top has a shaped form and opens as a flap, revealing a surprising interior covered in maple burl with a central insert in red fabric bordered in black, designed to support the sewing work. On the front there is a practical drawer, cleverly camouflaged in the flowing line of the apron.
An object of great charm and functionality, ideal for enriching a period setting or a collection of historical furnishings.
Original patina. The item has some old woodworm holes (a chemical anti-woodworm treatment will still be carried out before shipment).
