Extendable Vicenza table in solid cherry wood, late 19th century

Elegant Vicenza table from the late nineteenth century, made of solid cherry wood. Almost square in shape (116 x 98 cm), it is equipped with extensions that allow its length to be extended up to 214 cm. Overall height 80 cm. The straight and slender legs are enriched by refined straw processing and small turned inserts, with stylistic references attributable to the late nineteenth-century production of local Art Schools, such as UG16, and a sober but decorative taste. The table is in a good state of preservation. There are slight localized cracks in the extensions, due to the natural physiological decline of the wood, but the structure is solid and functional.
