Important Baroque-style mirror of Sicilian manufacture, made in the mid-18th century. The elegant mixtilinear profile, typical of Rococo taste, is enriched by a rich carved and gilded wooden frame, enlivened by volutes, flowers and foliage motifs executed with great skill.
In the center is the main mirror, surrounded by shaped and hand-ground glass, finely decorated with floral and vegetal motifs, according to the Sicilian decorative use of the time. The cymatium is dominated by an architectural and floral pinnacle of great scenic impact, which frames with theatrical taste the group of upper ground mirrors.
The quality of the workmanship, the refinement of the design and the ornamental richness make this mirror a representative example of 18th century Sicilian decorative art, perfectly suited to classic environments or refined contemporary combinations.
