Oil on canvas. 19th century Flemish school. The hilly landscape features on the left in the foreground a tall plant towering over the fields below, with a hunter aiming at prey hidden among its fronds; not far away are some farmhouses, with the typical sloping Nordic roof, in front of which other figures can be seen; in the background, the blurred profile of a city is outlined in the distance. A plate attributing the work to Anthonie Van Borssom (1629 -1677), a Flemish landscape painter, whose style the painting echoes in some aspects, is applied to the frame. The painted panel has been cradled. The painting is presented in a mid-20th century gilded frame.
