The engravings are attributed to Joseph Wagner (1706–1780), a well-known engraver and publisher active in Venice, as indicated by the words "Zuccarelli pinx. / Wagner scul. Venezia C.P.E.S." on the lower margin. The scenes represent moments of rural life, with figures immersed in serene and natural landscapes, executed with great refinement in the stroke and rendering of chiaroscuro.
