Pair of large friezes, over-door panels, gilded wood cornices - 19th century. Splendid and important pair of friezes in carved gilded wood with a central lacquered green cartouche. They can be positioned above doors (over-door panels), become double bed headboards, or simply enrich the upper part of your paintings (cornices). The cornices are richly carved in openwork, with foliage motifs and ribbons on the sides, and a beautiful garland under the central lacquered cartouche. If desired, you can paint your initials on the central cartouche. Despite the significant dimensions, please note that it is a single piece of carved wood. The back has been lacquered black and is complete with the original irons for hanging. The state of conservation is good, with no woodworm. Period: 19th century.
