Elegant pair of Renaissance architectural fragments in marble, originating from a historic palace in Vicenza. Made of Carrara marble with inserts in Rosso di Francia and black marble (origin unidentified), these decorative elements feature a refined geometric and chromatic composition.
The two pieces, slightly different in size and details, were probably part of an altar or a decorative architectural apparatus, either ecclesiastical or civil. The careful workmanship of the reliefs and the harmony of the materials testify to the high quality of craftsmanship of the time.
