Gilded wooden stoup (one of a pair)

Gilded wooden stoups with graceful rocaille-style carvings. The structure is characterized by a pleasantly shaped frame adorned with volutes, counter-volutes, and phytomorphic motifs, inside which is a beautiful glass painting depicting Saint Anthony; the holy water container is also made of masterfully carved wood. Venice, Louis XV period (mid-18th century). 40 cm high x 22 cm wide
