Federico Melis S.C.I.C.

Description: Antique and delightful statuette made in Cagliari in 1930 in polychrome glazed ceramic by Federico Melis, an important Sardinian ceramist. Called Su puntorzu because it was conceived as a desk object that was supposed to hold a pencil or pen: this version, much more edgy, was made in 1930 and is different from the one he made in Urbania in 1940/50. Marked S.C.I.C. Cagliari Sardegna Melis, it is in good condition.
