The antique Still Life with Flowers paintings proposes an Art Nouveau Vase of Chrysanthemum Flowers, a
beautiful oil painting on canvas from the early 1900s, Art Deco. It is a composition
with a decorated ceramic vase and a beautiful bouquet of flowers with chrysanthemums of various colors,
a small vase with red carnations, in an Art Deco setting.
Still life of flowers signed in the upper right Angelina Drumaux,
painter of floral still lifes, gardens, seascapes.
Angelina-Marie-Eugénie Drumaux (1881 -1959) Belgian painter was the daughter of Arthur Drumaux, a teacher at the
college of Bouillon and poet. She studied at the Academy of Liège and Adrien De Witte was her teacher.
In 1902 she held her first solo exhibition at the Cercle Royal des Beaux-Arts in Liège, then in 1906 she participated in the
Exhibition at the Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool. From 1908 she participated in the Parisian Salons of the Société des Artistes Français.
In 1913 she received the Triennial Prize for Painting. She was awarded the Order of Leopold in 1949.
Many paintings by this artist are found in the museums of Ghent, Liège, Arlon Paris
(Musée du Luxembourg, Galerie du Jeu de Paume).
The antique painting is dressed with a carved and gilded wooden frame. 1930s.
The antique frame and oil painting have been professionally and accurately restored.
