Exquisite pair of sideboards from the early 19th century, of French origin.
Made with an ebonized wood structure and finely inlaid with floral motifs and vase decorations in various precious wood essences. Each element is an example of high cabinetmaking, enriched by elegant gilded bronze inserts and inlays in bois de rose, maple and rosewood. The fronts feature an upper drawer and a lower door with mirrored decorations, characterized by a central floral composition that evokes the rich Baroque decoration. The moved and fluted legs end on turned feet, connected by a shaped crosspiece with a central turned element, which gives stability and momentum to the structure.
