Oil painting on canvas, depicting a sacred scene of intense devotion, probably an adoration of saints in the presence of the Holy Family. At the center of the work, the Virgin Mary holds the Child Jesus in her lap, naked and wrapped in a white cloth. To her right, the figure of Saint Joseph is recognized, with a hoary beard and pastoral staff. Around the Holy Family gather three male figures, kneeling in an attitude of veneration: one wears golden episcopal robes, the other has the appearance of a warrior, perhaps a holy knight, while the third remains more enigmatic, but also participates in the scene with intense contemplation.
Behind the Madonna, barely visible in the background, the ox and the donkey can be distinguished, elements that evoke the setting of the Nativity. However, the absence of the traditional Magi, and in particular the Moorish character, suggests rather a scene of adoration by saints.
A work by a Venetian hand, probably from the late 17th century, it is similar in color and compositional approach to the Veronese School.
