This is a Beautiful and Young Nude Woman Lying Down and seen from behind, painted in the 1950s of the twentieth century. The painting has an original lacquered wooden frame, where there is a label with the painter's name and his participation in the Grand Prix De Rome.
The work is dated 1950 and signed in the lower left G. Troussard, French painter and engraver.
Troussard Henri Georges (1896-1953) was a student of Cormon and Laguillermie. In his career as an artist, he obtained the Second Chenavard Prize and the Second "Grand Prix de Rome" in 1924.
Subsequently, he obtained the "Premier Prix Roux", then a third medal at the Salon Des Artistes Français in 1925. Finally, the "Premier Grand Prix de Rome" in 1926.
Some works by this artist can be found in the museums of Pau and Tours.
