925 silver chocolate pot, Italy, Milan, last quarter of the 20th century.
Elegant chocolate pot made of 925 silver, of Italian (Milan) production, datable to the last quarter of the 20th century. The pear-shaped body is richly embossed and chiseled with rocaille motifs and foliage in Baroque style, with surfaces finely worked with volutes, shells and raised vegetal decorations. The spout is shaped like a stylized eagle's head, a decorative element typical of neo-Baroque reinterpretations. The lid, also finely chiseled, has a turned bulbous knob and floral motifs. The side handle, elongated and mounted horizontally, is made of silver. The chocolate pot rests on three volute feet enriched by rocaille decorations consistent with the ornamentation of the body.
