Pair of Antique Gilded Frames, oval-shaped with bestial feet and conch-shaped cymatium, and two median decorations made of the interwoven shape of the outer frame, forming an original geometric pattern. A beautiful water gilding in pure gold leaf that allows glimpses of the preparation in Armenian red bole in several parts, giving the frames a warm effect. In good condition. Inside, protected by glass, these Carlo X picture frames show two posthumous prints. Due to their type, the two frames can either be hung or used as table portrait frames with a small modification. They date back to the first half of the 1800s, good condition, originate from Northern Italy.
Another pair is potentially available, for a total set of 4 frames, see art 1447.
