Pair of sphinxes in lacquered wood and gilded with gold leaf. The sculptures are meticulously executed, rich in sculpted details and particulars. Noteworthy is the pomegranate fruit held between their paws, a symbol of prosperity and good omen. The sculptures are presented in perfect state of preservation and have not undergone any restoration. They date back to the early 19th century. They measure 45 cm in width and 40 cm in height. Like all our objects, they are sold accompanied by a certificate of authenticity according to law and can be shipped throughout Italy in maximum safety.
