Louis XIV Pelmets

Louis XIV Pelmets, Florentine or Roman manufacture, early 18th century. Gilded wood. Dimensions: cm 84 x 290, cm 84 x 260. The three Louis XIV style pelmets, of very fine quality, were made in Central Italy, probably in Florence or Rome. At the center is a Greek mask surrounded by feathers and surmounted by a comb shell; every detail is elegantly decorated with festoons of flowers and fruits.
