Precious inlaid Directory Desk Writing Table Rolo

Charming and unique Rolo inlaid Directory Desk Writing Table, made of solid walnut and inlays of various woods (maple, plum, cherry), dating back to the early 19th century. Produced with the knife inlay technique, it features in the center the classic diamond-shaped motif, within plum wood reserves, threaded with field maple. Very singular and with a striking effect, the shape of the top, with broken lines, which is also reflected in the inlay on the top and the moldings on the bands and legs. The pyramidal leg is splendid, as are the full-length drawers in the band. There are fire stamps of commission. Restored in patina. No restoration recommended.
