1800s rectangular gilt frame for mirror in Swiss pine, finely carved with a triumph of curled leaves that develop around the main rectangular frame with the edge decorated with a carved and gilded dentil moulding. In good condition apart from minimal defects compatible with the 19th century period. A mirror can be inserted into the frame for use as a mirror in both a horizontal and vertical direction. These antique frames are hand-carved with a carving of acanthus leaves and volutes, an aerial and pierced cartouche decoration that makes this decoration precious and light.
