Very elegant Secretaire à abattant veneered in mahogany feather and embellished with refined mercury-gilded bronze applications. Interiors in light-colored wood, French craftsmanship from the early Empire period.
The design of the front is framed by two beautiful tall columns with a base and capital in finely chiseled gilded bronze and by a wide fall-front desk (upper part) and two doors (lower part). It follows the typical scheme of this type of furniture created during the period of Napoleon, which goes by the name of Secrétaire. The facade is clearly marked by the beautiful aesthetic rendering of the mahogany feather, which embellishes the entire piece of furniture with a luminous brilliance that is also enhanced by the excellent restoration carried out by our team of restorers according to the traditional shellac and buffer procedure.
