1800s Ceroplasta of Nordic Origin. Composition, likely of German origin, in polychrome wax depicting a genre scene with four figures dressed in 17th-century clothing portrayed in a festive moment. The two figures on the left are dancing, while the two musicians seated on a bench on the right of the composition are playing wind instruments. In the center, resting on the lawn, is a large jug; a pouring vessel with a lid shows the initials LMM on the front. The figures have no background as they are placed on a wax surface.
The frame is made of ochre lacquered wood with green inner profiles. In good condition. On the back, a typewritten label with the title in German: Nr. 132 Tanzgruppe mit Dudelsackpfeifer – dance group with bagpipes. Height: 12.5 cm. - Width: 17.8 cm. - Depth: 1.5 cm.
