Victorious Cupid. The figure of the god, standing, grasps the bow with his hands.
The word VICI, I conquered, is inscribed on the base in front; the author's signature is on the right side.
Patinated bronze sculpture, dimensions cm h. 62.5. Perfect state of preservation.
This is a famous sculpture by Moreau. The sculpture model was awarded the gold medal at the International Exhibition of Paris in 1896. Original version, as can be seen from the measurements. All subsequent replicas and copies are slightly to much smaller, as is always the case with copies.

Cupid, standing on tiptoe with his legs joined, poses proudly with wings spread and bow, which cleverly manages to cover his nudity. His expression projects the message "I came, I saw, I conquered." The figure is made of hollow cast, thick and heavy, in white metal alloy.
