A set of six Empire-style chairs in walnut and burr walnut. The open, curved back features a central elliptical medallion in cherry wood painted with allegorical motifs. The front legs are truncated pyramids, while the rear legs are saber-shaped. The seat is made of woven cane. Austria, early 19th century.
