Italian Art Deco Maple Briar, Gold Leaf and Black Lacquer Nightstands, 1940s

This pair of Art Deco nightstands was produced in Italy in the 1940s. The structure is completely in black lacquered,  while the doors are in maple briar. The doors have a gold leaf decoration.
The handles are in brass. 
They have been completely restored.
