Description:
Exceptional Tyrolean painted wardrobe with two doors, in teal green and entirely made of fir wood.
On the doors, four ivory-colored panels with red frames contain floral decorations. The same are repeated on the fluted corners, inserted in geometric decorations typical of the Maria Theresa of Austria period, and under the upper cornice, in a floral band that surrounds the entire piece of furniture. In the lower part of the furniture, the same band contains woodland decorations, partially deteriorated.
The central part is the most interesting and unusual: on the left door, a hunter embraces a rifle, while on the right door, a male deer is depicted. On the fluted corners, two garlands enclose young roosters, symbols of courage, ardor, and victory.
Internally, the original division of spaces is still present, and the construction date is shown on the right door.
The lock and all the hardware, original and functional, are particularly valuable.
