Alpine Painted Bench Measurements: H. 57 cm – L. 120 cm – D. 57 cm Period: 1778 Origin: Bavarian Alps Wood Essence: Fir Description: Antique bench made of fir wood and entirely painted in petrol green color, with onion-shaped feet, entirely made of fir wood, with ramage decorations. On the front, four columns surmounted by arches divide the space into three parts, each of which is painted in brick red and contains rich floral decorations. On the central one, there is also the lock with its key. Always on the front, you can see the date and the initials of the first client. On the sides, still floral decorations on a red background and two comfortable wrought iron handles, useful for transporting the bench. Internally, the original structure with the folding compartment is still present. Restoration Information: The photographs you see show the furniture not yet restored. The state of conservation is excellent. The furniture, at the time of sale, will be provided fully restored. The customer will decide the desired degree of restoration. Our laboratory guarantees conservative restoration for each piece of furniture in respect of its integrity. Each piece of furniture is treated to guarantee solidity and hygiene. In particular, the following are performed: – structural restoration – accurate anti-woodworm treatment – cleaning and sanitizing of the interiors – external finish with natural beeswax – internal finish with shellac (natural alcohol-based varnish) On request, we can agree on the desired degree of restoration and the customization of the internal layout (clothes rail, shelves, etc…).
