Antique Religious Icon: Saint Francis Triptych with Angels

Description: A precious and spectacular book-shaped icon of significant size, created using the triptych technique with gessoed wood and beautifully decorated, depicting a print of Saint Francis in the center. On the side panels are two Music-Playing Angels. The three wooden panels are joined together by small iron hinges. The crafting process is entirely handmade. The item is of Florentine manufacture, dating back to the second half of the last century. Being a vintage item, some signs of wear and minor imperfections in the gesso are to be expected.
