1800s Confraternity Voting Urn from Tuscany, constructed from turned and carved hazelwood. The central body is in the shape of a small barrel, into which hands were inserted to place the electoral ball into one of the two cavities connected to the drawer below, where the words YES and NO, related to the vote, are found on the front. Supported by four curled feet, it features a rear handle and carved parts on both ends, emphasized by an ebonized coloring. Used by a confraternity, this electoral box was used to collectively resolve community choices. In good condition.
