Carlo Follini, "Market Scene", oil on panel, signed and dated 1930. Beautiful painting depicting a market scene in Muzzano, in the province of Biella. The description on the back adds Church Square, where the market was probably held. The painting is rich in color and movement thanks to the famous painter Follini's brushstrokes. Signed in the lower right and dated 16.8.30 in the lower left. Oil on panel, 25.5 x 43 cm. Follini Carlo (Domodossola, 1848 - Pegli, 1938) He was a student of Fontanesi at the Albertina Academy. He was a very successful landscape painter who exhibited in Italy and abroad. He studied accounting in Turin, but at the age of 24, he chose to study painting at the Albertina Academy, then under the guidance of Antonio Fontanesi. He is said to have been one of Fontanesi's most valued students, for his sprezzatura and for the strength and energy of his color in his studies from nature.
