Jean Laudy (1877-1956) was born in Venlo, Netherlands, and died in Brussels. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and Brussels" and was a pupil of Verheyden from 1894 to 1895. He was a member of the studio "La Patte de Dindon" and the studio "L'Effort". He was later a member of the prestigious Royal Academy of Belgium.
Today his works can be found in the museums of Brussels, Mons, Saint-Josse-ten Noode and Saint-Nicholas.
The antique frame and oil painting have been carefully and professionally restored.
