The Antique Paintings category, Landscape With French Heath, offers an Oil Painting On Canvas from the 19th century.
Antique landscape paintings, depicting a naturalistic environment.
These are landscape paintings representing nature and painted with warm and bright colors.
The antique work is signed on the lower right by Charles Georget, a French landscape painter.
Jean Charles Georget (1833-1895) was born in Farcy-Les-Lys. In 1875, he exhibited in Paris at the "Salon des Artistes de Paris".
He loves to draw and paint in the fields and alleys surrounded by vineyards. At the age of twenty-eight, Georget lives
alongside the artistic elite of Paris, but later prefers the peace and tranquility of Farcy Les Lys,
a twin town of Barbizon, south of Paris and near Fontainebleau, where he can paint the light
and beauty of the forest or the Seine.
Charles Georget's works are preserved and exhibited in the Rochefort museum.
The oil painting is complemented by a beautiful carved wooden frame.
The antique painting and frame are professionally and carefully restored.
