An unusual and sweet portrait of the Madonna and Child.
By an anonymous painter with great mastery in painting children and women from life, whom he then portrayed as Madonna and Holy Child in his paintings. The details are very beautiful, especially the hands of the two figures. The Madonna, with her right hand, gently touches the baby's small left hand, which rests on his mother's dress. The baby's body is harmonious, with well-painted legs and feet. The drapery of the Virgin's robe and the veil that falls on her knees partially covering her son.
If you look closely at this painting, you will notice that it is not the usual painting of "Madonna and Child." She is absorbed in her thoughts and looks up, perhaps thinking about how to raise the Child she holds on her lap. The Child, on the other hand, looks at you with his beautiful eyes and a sweet, benevolent smile, almost caressing your thought. Each of them pays attention to the world around them and to their own thoughts. Like a simple mother and a young son being portrayed in a moment of the day.
