Important Umbrian-Tuscan chest of drawers from the very early 17th century in light walnut and splendid walnut burl in its five drawers. The piece of furniture features beautiful pilasters finely carved with caryatids, surmounted by shells and ending in vegetal and fruit elements; in fact, pomegranates are present in the carving, the one on the left symbolically open, showing the seeds, and the one on the right closed. The sides of the piece of furniture are also very beautiful, framed with various orders of carving, like the front drawers themselves.
The piece of furniture appears perfect in every part, stable and in excellent condition. It retains all its original heart-shaped locks, but three of the five locks are missing.
The dimensions of this chest of drawers are: 133cm x 101cm x 63cm.
We attach a certificate of authenticity to the sale.
