This console table was made in northern Italy during the Rococo period, mid-18th century.
It has a mixtilinear top, curved on the front and sides, veneered in elm burl, with a rectangular frame in the center created by a dark wood inlay. The undertop band, also veneered in elm burl, is curved and has a front drawer with a wooden grip. It is surrounded by a border, which follows its shape, in solid elm wood. The four legs are made of solid elm wood, arched and curved, and end with volute feet.
This table, which can be used as a console, leaning against walls, can be easily placed in living rooms and studies, but also in entrances and corridors. Very decorative thanks to the movement of its lines, it can be combined with both antique and modern furnishings.
