Interesting carved wooden architectural protomes depicting fantastic figures, one female and one male, with an apotropaic function. It is probable that these 16th-century elements decorated a larger wooden architectural complex and were placed at the base of a terracing or entablature, and therefore seen from the bottom upwards. The origin of these elements is certainly Nordic and reflects in a way the Breton and French culture, with the continuation of Gothic features throughout the 16th century.
