Description: Antique Louis XVI Lombard drop-front desk veneered in walnut burl with inlaid grafts in precious exotic woods, dating back to the 18th century.
The front is punctuated by two large drawers with a rosette in the center, while the one above is smaller and highlighted by garlands.
In the two lower drawers, the separation is not highlighted, thus creating a large mirroring effect from the dark and glossy splendor of the walnut with the veneer arranged in a herringbone pattern.
The drop-front door features the same decoration as the lower part but with more minute proportions, closing a decoration formed by beaded festoons, supporting floral motifs.
Internally, the drop-front desk has six drawers that can be pulled out via bronze knobs contemporary to it.
The same frame is found on the sides, where it frames the same inlay with a beautiful interplay of woods including walnut, rosewood, and bois de rose.
The truncated pyramidal legs are enriched by the presence of a geometric pattern inlay.
