Description:
Antique Italian tabernacle canopy, handmade in the late 1800s in white silk with gold thread embroidery featuring decorative motifs: raised vegetal spirals among Eucharistic symbols such as ears of wheat, grapes, vine leaves, and colorful flowers including roses with buds. Centrally, in the upper part of the canopy (photo #3), we find IHS (Iesus Hominum Salvator) embroidered in relief, while the edges are finished with a particular gold trim (photo #8). Defined in 2 parts, each measuring 30 cm: height 66 cm. It is in good condition: slight signs of wear are noticeable exclusively in the upper part (see photo #4).
