Bronze statue of Perseus with the head of Medusa

Condition: Excellent state of preservation.
Description: Elegant bronze sculpture of French origin and dating back to the first decades of the twentieth century. It represents Perseus, hero of Greek mythology, celebrated for the killing of Medusa, the Gorgon with snake hair.
Perseus is portrayed with an athletic and sculpted body, while triumphantly raising Medusa's head, characterized by her intense expression.
The base is also very elaborate, with decorative ornaments and figures.
This work is a beautiful example of how, in the early twentieth century, bronze casting was used to revive classic themes of mythology, highlighting the interest in classical aesthetics and symbolism.
