This extraordinary Louis XIV slant-front desk, with a curved front and double-curved sides, represents the highest artistic level achieved by Venetian cabinetmakers of the 18th century, the Golden Age of the Serenissima Republic of Venice.
It is entirely veneered in walnut burl with a base and profiles between the drawers in solid walnut arranged "end grain".
Mysterious and elegant, with splendid proportions, it is ideal for lavishly furnishing high-end residences.
This type of furniture has always been considered the most prestigious and representative example of Italian antique furniture.
The piece of furniture is authentic to the first half of the 18th century in every detail and its condition is excellent.
