Verona/Garda, second quarter of the 18th century. Rare double serpentine slant-front chest of drawers, in original patina and admirable museum condition. The work, in addition to being in practically intact condition, still retains the original polishing and, of course, its original patina. It is veneered in walnut and burr walnut, with refined inlays in maple, purpleheart, walnut burl, and poplar burl. The interior is richly inlaid, with a sliding secretaire hiding several secret compartments. Dimensions: cm 123 wide x 120 high x 63-73 deep (closed-open). In accordance with the provisions of the New Code of Cultural Heritage, the selling company provides, at the time of sale, a detailed written photographic guarantee of the originality and provenance of the works sold. The data with which the works are described and then contained in the written guarantees are express determinations resulting from careful and documented technical, historical, and artistic investigations, even of expert appraisal.
