The seating group, consisting of four armchairs, was made in France in the 18th century, Louis XV period. The wooden structure, carved with reserves, curls, and floral decorations in relief, is lacquered in shades of ivory and light blue. The backrest of the armchairs, upholstered in fabric, is slightly curved and sinuous. The armrests, with fabric-covered padding in the center to create a comfortable support, are connected to the seat, also upholstered in fabric, with arched elements. The four legs, curved and sinuous, are carved and lacquered in two colors.
The fabric used for the armchairs, with a naturalistic pattern, is modern and in good condition.
Also available from the same living room is a three-seater sofa, with a similar design and color to the armchairs. The backrest is enveloping and continues laterally for greater comfort. The armrests are covered in fabric. The curved wooden structure, with seven sinuous legs, is very graceful and particularly decorative. The sofa is completed by three cushions upholstered with the same fabric.
It is also possible to increase the number of seats with two more French armchairs, also from the same Louis XV period, upholstered with the same fabric. The structure and carvings of these two seats are very similar: they are lacquered in two colors in shades of ivory and gray, with reserves, frames, and floral relief elements.
The armchairs and sofa, as a whole, are very refined and elegant, of great decoration for a living room or an entrance hall, and can be placed both as a group or divided into different environments. The light color of the lacquers used and the type of fabric with which they are presented give these seats a lot of light, making them suitable next to antique or modern furnishings.
