Small (12 cm) bronze sculpture depicting Saint John, attributed to Filippo da Gonzate.
The da Gonzate family was active in Parma from the late 15th century onwards: "Family of sculptors, bronze founders, goldsmiths and medalists from Parma. Filippo (d. circa 1520) cast, together with his sons Iacopo Filippo and Damiano, the bronze statues of the four Evangelists (1508) in the choir of the cathedral. In the collegiate church of Busseto there is an altar cross (1524) by the two sons" (cit. Treccani Encyclopedia)
