Painting depicting a mythological scene. Early 17th century period.

Interesting oil on copper painting depicting a mythological scene: "Diana Bathing with Nymphs and Fantastic Animals." The painting is meticulously executed. In the center, we find Diana with her quiver, surrounded by her handmaidens. In the lower left, other Nymphs are depicted observing the scene. In the lower right, other female figures are present. In the middle of the water, we can glimpse a fantastic animal. In the upper left, a boat with fishermen pulling in their net is visible. The whole scene is framed by a fantasy landscape, which can be seen in the background. The painting is in perfect condition; it is embellished by a beautiful frame in carved wood and gold leaf, antique but not contemporary. The painting measures 47 cm x 38 cm with the frame and 35 cm x 27 cm without the frame. On the back, there is an engraving with the name Francesco Albani, a painter born in Bologna in 1578 and died in 1660. Due to the similarity of themes, the stylistic quality, the bright colors, and other details, we feel we can attribute our painting to Albani or his workshop.
