Zatta Antonio, the Duchy of Mantua of New Projection, Venice 1781. Geographical map taken from the work of the publisher Antonio Zatta, Atlas novissimo, illustrated and increased on the observations, and discoveries made by the most famous and most recent geographers. Edited in Venice between 1775 and 1785, etched in aquatint and burin. The plates were designed mainly by Giovanni Pitteri and engraved by Giuliano Zuliani with beautiful original coloring. At the top right, on a stone surrounded by vegetation, the inscription is on a cartouche The Duchy of Mantua of new Projection Venice 1781 by Antonio Zatta With Privilege of the Excellent Senate. The map clearly shows the settlement and the waterways. The sheet has a vertical fold and is in good condition apart from a minimal pinpointing and is supplied within a modern frame.
