Rare silver teapot. Vienna, mature Biedermeier period of noble origin (see monogram and count's crown). Vienna old hallmark year 1853, is 17 cm high and 25 cm max wide. Weighs 650 grams. Noble crown and chiseled monogram. The silversmiths workshop is by Stephan Mayerhofer & Carl Klinkosch, suppliers of the court and highly appreciated. No restorations. In excellent condition with patina and signs of use corresponding to the antiquity. Mayerhofer & Klinkosch, are the most important Viennese silversmiths of the 19th century. The atelier originates from the fusion between Stephan Mayerhofer (1772-1852) and Carl Klinkosch (1797-1860) in 1830. The shop was on the corner of Kohlmarkt in Vienna.
