Refined and rare Empire/early Viennese Biedermeier game table, from the circle of Joseph Danhauser or perhaps himself. Vienna 1815 approx. Veneered in mirrored mahogany feather, with elegant threads and details in maple wood. The "futuristically advanced" line and the use of the precious mahogany burr essence, rarely used in Vienna except in the very early Biedermeier period and in the Empire period by the best cabinetmakers, bring it closer to the area of the great Danhauser. The table opens like a book, rotating on itself and showing the game top in refined leather. It is a work of woody integrity with a museum standard shellac finish. Patina and signs of aging corresponding to the age of the piece. It measures cm.83 in height, top width 89, depth 46.5, open 93x89. characterised by simple, original and elegant lines that "conquer" time. Also perfect for combining with modern high-end furniture in an ensemble of refined and prestigious elegance.
