Antique Richard Ginori tile designed by Gio Ponti: the tired musician

Description: Antique polychrome ceramic tile (the tired musician: cm.14x14) made in the 30s based on a design by Gio Ponti by the Richard Ginori S.Cristoforo Milan manufacture. On a white background, decorated in shades of red and brown, it represents a character who, sitting under a tree while playing the accordion, is resting. Mounted in a cm.18x18 wooden frame. The state of conservation is excellent: it can be found published in Le arti del fuoco (page 45), a guide to Italian ceramics published by Essegi Ravenna in 1999.
