Tempera on panel titled 'In an immense mixed vortex' signed by F. Riccardi. Measurements 25 x 19 cm, with frame 30 x 50 cm. Fabrizio Riccardi was born in Rome on March 18, 1942. Ten years later he moved with his family to Turin where he attended the "Liceo Artistico dell'Accademia Albertina"; in 1961 he enrolled in the Faculty of Architecture which he abandoned in 1966 to settle in Chianti, in San Casciano Val di Pesa; here he married, had two children, Costanza and Mathias, and alternated his artistic activity with teaching. Frequent study trips to the United States, France, Switzerland and Belgium, where he encountered considerable appreciation from critics working in the area of fantastic and visionary art.
