Venice or Veneto, third quarter of the 18th century. Rare small entrance bench of exquisite size, painted and lacquered in delicate Rococo pastel colors. Finely painted with floral motifs, acanthus leaves, and a vase, the seat is in a soft veined pink imitating the marble typical of the area. Unrestored, in sound wooden and pictorial condition with patina and signs of use commensurate with its age. Signs of subsequent consolidation work. Typical technique of the area with tempera painting on softwood, use of canvas in the joints of the planks, plaster, and final surface lacquering. Measures cm. 110 in height, 87 in width, 33.5 in depth.
