Portrait of Antonio Cappello
This is Antonio Cappello, from the San Polo branch, probably born in 1494, who held demanding positions for the Republic until the end of his life (1565), including that of procurator in 1525. The painting comes from a Milanese auction from the 1960s and was already attributed to Tintoretto.
